A reproducible office infrastructure lab focused on diagnosis, configuration and recovery.

The problem

A small fictional office needs services that can be rebuilt and restored. A backup is only useful if recovery has been tested.

Technical approach

An isolated VM or container environment, repeatable configuration, synthetic inventory and controlled incident scenarios. Keep the host machine outside the experiment.

Acceptance criteria

Rebuild the environment from a clean checkout using documented commands.
Run the configuration twice and explain any changes on the second run.
Restore test data to a new location and compare it with the source.
Diagnose five controlled incidents and record symptoms, hypotheses and fixes.
Trigger an alert, resolve the incident and document the actual recovery time.

The lab design and failure scenarios are documented. Implementation, recovery measurements and the demonstration are still pending.
